The Benefits of the Busyness

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how busy we've been around here.  My new business has been one of the biggest contributors to the busyness.

All this business/busyness has had an unexpected benefit.

My youngest and I do not have much in common.  I have joked that I may be raising my sister's child.  Anni likes fashion and fun.  I tend to be plain and serious.  Anni is social and outgoing.  I'm an introvert and homebody.

When I became a consultant for Jamberry Nails, it may have come as a surprise to my family and friends.  It was actually Anni's excitement about the product that tipped the scales in favor of this new venture.

The results of that decision were better than I could have imagined.

Anni is my biggest cheerleader and best advertisement.  We have spent time pouring over style choices.  She has accompanied me to parties, pitching in to demonstrate with the younger girls.

We've had the opportunity to spend time together and reconnect, and  I didn't even realize how much we needed it.

So, yes, it has been busy, and we are all tired.  But the resulting benefits have been abundantly worth it.

  1. YAY!! Praise God. I love how He works things into our lives that we don't even realize we need. How fun for you all. I am glad you are enjoying doing this. I love it. It is just fun.

  3. Wow! Look at those fingernails! How fun! Is one of those hands yours?

Hooray for connecting with your daughter. My mother and I had one of those times when I was in high school, when I was riding in a lot of horse shows. It's amazing what will bring two people together, isn't it? I'm sure you love doing Jamberry Nails just because it's gives you time with Anni.
