When I saw this idea a couple weeks ago I knew it was a great idea for Teacher Appreciation Week,
Tuesday is the official Teacher Appreciation Day, and if you are looking for an easy, inexpensive, last minute gift this idea will certainly fill the bill.
Materials:
Manicure set {Dollar Store, $1}
Designer Duck tape {Walmart $3.44}
Ribbon {Walmart, $.47}
Lighter or match
The manicure set comes in a variety of colors. { I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the tools in it.} Choose a coordinating style of designer Duck tape and ribbon which can be found in the craft/stationery area of Walmart.
Wrap the duck tape carefully around the base of the set. There is a little ridge at the top of the base that you can line up with the tape. The tape is a bit longer that the base, but can be tucked under easily. Tie a coordinating ribbon around the base and lightly burn the edges with a match or lighter to prevent fraying.
Of course you will have plenty of Duck tape left over. Hang on to it, as I'll be sharing another idea where it makes an appearance in the materials list.
You could also email this idea to your spouse as a Mother's Day suggestion.
I love it! What a great idea! When I first saw the pictures, I thought it was an emergency tool kit which would also be cute done in the same manner.
