February Goal Check

A goal properly set is halfway reached.
-Abraham Lincoln-

Welcome to my monthly goal check.  After a pretty dismal start in January, I think we're starting to make some progress.

Personal:
Lose 10-15 pounds {Lost 3 lb. However, that was likely due to being sick.}

Exercise more regularly {Walking 3-4 times per week and considering Couch 2 5K.}

Read at least two books per month {Only one this month, but it was pretty heavy.}

Home Management:
Open our home to guests at least once a month {Postponed due to lots of germs in our house. Germs are not nice to share with guests.}

Include food pantry donations in monthly grocery budget {Donated one bag of staples.}

Practice weekly menu planning {I may switch to planning for the whole month.}

Keep a more organized pantry {It's organized, but since we had much more than I thought we're doing a March pantry challenge.}

Family:
Reinstate a monthly game/puzzle night {Right now the only games being played are chauffeur, track and golf practice.}

Work on photo albums together {Located and gathered all photos.}

Blogging:
Organize recipe categories {Feeling overwhelmed. Suggestions?}

New series: 101 Frugal Tips & Tricks {#1-11 have been posted. #12-20 written, but not edited.}

Keep a calendar for posts {This has been great, but would be even better if I used it to get ahead!}

Financial:
Persue additional revenue streams {Stalled!}

Pay off medical bills {One baby step down.  Eleven more to go.}

Open college savings accounts {Might end up with a different type of savings after much research.}

I hope now that we're mostly healthy I can find my motivation again.  I did take some good advice and broke these goals down into more manageable chunks.  I keep a list of the chunks I hope to accomplish each week with the goals I wrote at the beginning of the year.

What strategies do you use to achieve your goals?  Suggestions welcome!
